The project

André Bakala is a photographer. For his portfolio I chose a clean, immersive design that leaves all the space to the images, since they are the ones that tell the story first. My intention was a simple, fluid experience where each photo carries the emotion and the authenticity of André's work. I handled the whole project on my own, as a freelance, from the design to the full Webflow build.

Context & intention

A photographer's site lives or dies on its images, so the interface had to step back and let them lead. The intention was to let the work speak without noise: no heavy layout, no decoration competing with the photos, just a calm frame that puts the emotion and the authenticity of André's shots in front.

Process & production

Working solo, I designed the site and built it entirely in Webflow, structuring the CMS by category (concert and others) so the galleries stay easy to browse and simple to update. The real work was curation: I selected and arranged the featured photos so the home page reads as a coherent whole from the first scroll, setting the tone before the visitor even enters a category. I also made sure the experience holds up cleanly on mobile.
